Ola!  Esta bien?

Hehe.  Barca was great. 

Here’s where we stayed with 8 other people – 2 Canadians, 2 Americans, 1 German, and 3 unknowns.  The hostel was at the centre of everything that we didn’t have trouble retreating back to charge camera batteries, to pray, to rest for a while, etc.  With free breakfast and internet, the place was a bargain.  Would recommend Kabul Hostel anytime!

Main activities consisted of:

As you can see, there was a lot of eating.  And the best thing was, we only ate at the finest places.  We decided to go all out on food expenses since this was the one time to get the best of Spanish cuisine.  It was money well spent.

To relatives and family friends who may be reading this and who may be concerned that I had gone with just the bf, it would be nice if this does not reach the Mother.  She knows that I’d gone to Barcelona.  The duo trip was not planned.  Five of our friends who had invited us on the trip had to un/fortunately cancel due to un/foreseen reasons.  We wouldn’t have gone if there was a refund policy on the flight tix.  So, if you could just…  Thanks!

All in all, it was a brilliant trip.  But Paris is still my favourite place to visit.  Sorry Sherot!!  I know u really wanted me to love Barca as much as u did.  hehe.  However, I do prefer the Spaniards to the French.  They’re way friendlier and definitely more welcoming than the French.  But they tend to stare at us, scarves-donned Asian women, a lot.  But if u give them your nicest smile, they’ll stop staring and will most definitely smile back.  They were probably guessing from which part of the world I’d come from.  Funny people. 

Another week to go before the next mini trip.  This time to Salzburg and Vienna – to meet Foy’s sister who’s representing UIA, along with 5 others, in the international mooting competition that’s being held at the Uni of Vienna.  Brilliant kid, that one. 

Arrrgghhh, can I just not do work and simply go on holidays all the time????Dammit.

What to do, two essays are waiting to be completed and I’m so avoiding them.

It’s been a good start to the Easter holiday.  This morning I’d gone to uni to return a book and had decided to stay to do some research for my coursework.  Went to the cafe to get coffee and was delighted to find the plush sofas in the cafe empty.  Chose the nicest one and spent the rest of the morning in the cafe reading some materials for the coursework.  It was really nice.  I love the holidays when uni is just such a calm, peaceful place where u can just sit back, relax, and really do work in the cafe. 

After finishing what I intended to do, I went to Waterstone’s to take a break.  Skimmed through a few self-help books on studying skills and bought a book on anger management.  I hope I’ll be able to control my anger better after this.  Don’t think Foy can stand much more of my too frequent angry outbursts. 

I like my first weekend of the holiday too.  Had two v.good morning sessions of squasy with the girls.  After such a long hiatus we were a bit paranoid that maybe we wouldn’t be able to play it anymore.  I think the squasy court missed us coz were we on a roll or what?!!  haha.  Perasan.  Oh, oh, I’m so happy to discover that PNB has squasy courts in the building!  Yipppeee.  Fellow PNB mates, nanti main sama ok?    

What else?  Had a good catching up session with a few mat salleh friends with pizzas n homemade pop corn.  Watched 300 one a half times with Foy n Sherot.  It’s no topper to Troy and Braveheart, therefore, it’s only so-so (boring script!).  Sherot n Foy like it though.  Foy – probably because there were lots of nipples showing (of the women of course, not the men).  Sherot- I don’t know.  oh oh, how could i forget this?  Greys and Betty were finally outttt.  after two weeks of waiting!  I stayed up until 3 am on the Thursday night just to wait for the shows to get uploaded on the net when I actually had a 9 o’clock start on the Friday.  Made it to all my lectures and tutorials on Friday coz my phones were ringing all morning from very concerned citizens of the world who knew that I had slept really late the night before.  Many thanks for disturbing my sleep!  hehe.  For the record, I hate Izzy and I hate George.  And I wish McDreamy would get a haircut and some shampoo for oily scalps.  And probably a few Botox injections from McSteamy.  Other than that, I still love him dearly.  Hehe.

Lastly, I’m happy that I’ve settled most of the former-pending accommodation issues for my trips to Barcelona and Vienna.  Since I’m in the midst of managing my anger, I’m not going to fret about the few bail outs on the Barcelona trip.  Even I cancel on people sometimes.  The only difference, I don’t cancel on something that I intiated myself.  Ooppps, not fretttinggggg.  To be fair, I haven’t even finished one chapter of the anger management book.  So, this is acceptable.  Hehe.

TAKKKKKKKKKK NAKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!  TAK NAK BUAT LAUNDRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  KAK JUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, DATANG SINI TOLONG JIDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rasa macam nak nangis pon ada.  Seriously, I would pay for someone to do my laundry.  I hate, I hate, I hate!!!!!!   My kid is going to grow up to be THE scientist who is going to invent self-cleaning clothes, or more importantly, self-cleaning undies.  And when he/she receives the Nobel Prize for such an invention all thanks will go to the mother who had initiated the idea in the first place.  How would u like that?  I would like that very much.

Can’t believe the whole dissertation malarky is finally over!!!  Thought of updating my blog after i handed it in.  But got caught up with other stuff.  I’m still taking a time out from uni stuff.  That’s bad.  I have one heavy tutorial tomorrow.  But heyyy, writing 10,322 words was no mean feat ok.  I earned this break.  If the dissertation course taught me anything, it is to never opt for a postgraduate study.  Simply suicidal, I’m telling ya.  Anyhoo, many thanks ya to those of you who supported me all along, especially Foy, Sherot, and the 292-294ers.  Thanks for the roti jala korang!  I don’t know if you read this anymore Sarah, but thanks for proofreading a few of my sentences for me. 

As promised Erin, here’s the post for the 6 weird things about me.  You’re the first ever to tag me.  hehe. 

RULES: People who are tagged should write a blog post of 6 weird things about them as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names.

1.  I love being stroked/caressed before I go to sleep.  If any of you girls have slept next to me, you’d know what I mean.  “Gosok tangan, boleh?…Kalau penat berhenti ok..”  Okay2,  it’s not weird, it’s bordering annoying already.  I got into this habit coz when I was a kid my mum used to stroke my hand to put me to sleep.  My bedmate in Form 3, Lela, bought me this red heart-shaped pillow with hands protruding from it for my birthday that year.  Message conveyed, Lel.  Hehe. 

2.  I store clothes under my pillows.  Shorts, pyjama tops, kaftans, pashminas.  For easy reach coz Sherot likes to barge in unexpectedly.  hehe. 

3.  I have 7 bottles/tubs of lotion, some I don’t even know why I bought them in the first place.  I just love lotion/soap shopping.  Okay, I love Boots/Guardian/Watson etc.  That’s it.

4.  No one can rest their feet on the head side of my bed.  Not even me.  My head pillow is sacred.  Only I, and I alone, can rest my head on it.  I sometimes bring my own pillow case when I go to sleep at other people’s place.  No jeans allowed under the duvet too.  Sherot once had to strip her jeans off and put on my pyjama pants before going under the duvet to tell me what hospital was like on that day.

5.  I like to spend ridiculous amount of money on my hair even though I cover it up most of the time.  I usually spend between 300-400 rm on my hair when I go back for the summer.  Perms, highlights, cuts, hair masks, shampoo, and what nots.  I don’t think I’ll be doing that anymore when I go back this summer, coz I’ll be earning my own my money by then.  Sob. Sob.   

6. I did most of the thinking for my dissertation on my bed.  I’d just lie down on the bed quietly and think.  The ceiling puts everything in place for me.  I’ll be doing it more often after this.

Right, what to have for lunch? Hmmm…
