Sorry! For the long overdue update. Thanks! For still visiting it.

The transit from student life to working life is going well. Am enjoying every minute of the free time that I have now. Sherot and Markon have just left the apartment and I am now waiting for K.sher to arrive. Living alone is not as puffed up as it seems to be in Sex and the City. I’m happy that I get quality me-time for 4 days of the week, that is good enough. Am so glad that I have the company of dearest parents and maid for the rest 3 days of the week. I get to be the independent adult for more than half of the week and the pampered daughter for the rest of it. Of course lah…I simply cannot wait for that other kind of life to start also. Ahhhh, berhenti berangan! Cannot!!! Hehe. Gatal.

Graduation was great, albeit the rain. Milan and Venice were awesome, notwithstanding the heat!!! It was a great ending to my student life in Britain. Of course, I have my ambitions to do it all over again some time in the future. Only God knows kan.

Life surrounded by nieces and nephews is sooooo entertaining! The other day, toddler Ayra said this to her Kak Ida, “Wa nak wash hand tangan!” The concept of language simply lost on the 1 ½ yr old. Pelat dia, lagi lah cute. Mickey Mouse jadi KeyMos. Ice cream Moo jadi ‘Cow Cow’. Ughhh, geram! Her baby sister, Arissa is simply to die for! Everytime I get to see the baby I just simply won’t let her go to anyone else. Sooooo wangi!!!! Pipi dia soooo sedap!!!! Macam nak gigit je kadang2. I wish babies could just stay as they are and never grow up. Bestnye.

The older ones now can carry off really adult conversations, they have taken me by surprise. My sister was asking me how Foy’s doing and so forth when her 5-yr-old daughter interjected and asked, “Acu nanti kahwin dengan siapa?”. I just smiled and ignored her question. And then she said, “Alaaa, jawab laaa. Jangan la malu.” Aihh, nak terjatuh kerusi rasanya. Just who is the adult here? And just how did she discover the concept of bercinta berkahwin ni? Lol.

Their antics can fill up the whole page. I’d better stop now and start on my pancake batter for the long awaited K.Sher! The pancakes are for breakfast of course. The plan for tonight is to binge on Maggi while watching Pitrates Cbn 3 and at the same time catch up with each other’s lives. Multi-tasking at its best. Heh. Till later!

A word of advice to those of you who watch ANTM Cycle 8 on Youtube.  If u don’t wanna know who’s won just yet, do not, i repeat do NOT, search for the finale clip on youtube!  Not today at least.  Ada pulak mangkuk ayun pergi spoil kan siapa yang menang the whole thing.  Bengang betullll.  Spare me the suspense, please lah.  Now, takde excitednye aku nak tgk finalenye esok.  Ggggggrrrr!  Marah ni, marah!

Mother’s day tomorrow May 12, 2007

So, tomorrow’s Mother’s Day in Msia.  Wanted to deliver flowers to mum but found out from big bro that she’s in Muar.  Where la got internet flower delivery to Muar weyh.  Deliver mee bandung, can lah.  So, how? I’m left with no grande gesture to show her that she’s loved and remembered here.  Psshh. 

So much for a grand gesture, my mum wished me happy birthday a week in advance.  ”Mama dah tua, dah tak ingat lah birthday2 ni.  Mama wish sekarang eh, takut lupa.” 

Au contraire mum, u’ve never forgotten to wish me on the day itself.  In fact, I usually get a whole week of happy birthday wishes from u.  Thank u! 

I’m looking forward to being 23.  Actually, I’m looking forward to dinner at La Margherita.  Will be having another joint birthday celebration with Sherot.  Have yet to pick out an outfit for that day.  I’m in need of a retail therapy.  I’ll double my effort this weekend and next week so that I can pay a guilt-free trip into town on Friday.  Ok, that’s the plan.  Actually, that was the plan for this week.  But nahh, this week’s effort has been so-so.  Need to work harder for that kind of a break.

By the by, yesterday was the last day of lectures and tutorials.  It didn’t feel as epic like it used to be during school/college days.  Oh well, u’re no longer a kid, what do u expect Jido? 

Yeah, well.  A teeny bit of emotion would’ve been nice.  But I felt nothing.  Probably because there are bigger things to look forward to.  Like……errrr….exams maybe?  Urgh!

     

Maternity breasts May 4, 2007

You know when you want to say something but something else comes out of your mouth coz your concentration is just else where?

My maid does it all the time and I just love taking the mickey out of her for it.

She’ll go, “Takpe, letak je baju dekat situ. Nanti K.Ju letak dalam fridge/freezer/microwave.” She’ll refer to every other electrical appliances in the kitchen, except the washing machine. Melatah-latah siap.

So today, we were walking towards the cinema to see Spiderman 3, which by the way is very comical, corny, and merepek tahap hanjing, when we passed Mothercare along way that I said to Foy:

“Eh, I kena pergi Mothercare nanti. K.shima pesan suruh belikan dia maternity breasts.” …………………………………………………………………

When I meant to say nursing bras.

Muka Foy masa tu. Sukanya dia aku salah cakap. “Maternity breasts? Maternity breasts? Ada implant for that now eh.“

Yes, I suppose so. They put in milk instead of silicone, Foy. *Bluekkkkkkk*

It’s a girl! May 2, 2007

Yet Again! Wiuwiuwiu. My sister safely gave birth to her fourth this morning, 2nd of May. *Alhamdulillah*

This blog welcomes Khayrin Arissa Khan to the world. This wish is of course meaningless to everyone else but me. Hehe. My mum told me that my sis really didn’t want the baby to come out on the 1st of May coz if it did my sis would be charged twice the amount of the delivery coz it was Labour Day in Malaysia. Kelakar lah. Nak beranak on public holiday ni bukan murah gamaknye. Kesian mak, kena tahan. hehe. Habis, Merdeka baby tu semua macam mana?

So, I called to congratulate her. Apparently, she was discharged from the labor room just a few minutes before I called. I was surprised coz her voice sounded normal, like she hadn’t just been pushing a human being out of her vajayjay.

“Hey, suara macam belum lepas beranak je? Bertenaga je bunyi.”

“Haihh, nak lembik cemana lagi? Ni dah ngantuk dah ni. Baru je keluar labor room.”

Relax je kakak aku sorang ni. Suara macam baru lepas masak/buat kek/balik kerja/ basuh baju je.

Khayrin Arissa, according to my mum, “rupa Mat Salleh habis, Jid.” hehehe. Kalau dah Khan kat belakang tu mestila mancung, Ma. Dah la kitorang Jawa campur Cina. Memang la kalah ngan Pakistan campur Arab.

So, here’s to another addition to the family, who will no doubt be as detached to me as the the other two who were born while I’m here doing my degree and who I will have to bribe with lots of sweets/ice cream/toys for a kiss and a hug. Can’t wait!

Daisy Rhaun April 30, 2007

The prospect of graduating is scaring me.  I don’t know, I don’t know.   There are so many things that I look forward to but at the same time I’m just scared of the changes that will take place that I will have to adjust to.  If I can just stop thinking of the future that has already been fixed for me and just live the moment!!!  Isy.

And don’t even get me started on the prospect of sitting for my final exam in a month’s time.  Just when the hell is the uni going to publish the exam timetable??  It not being published is undermining the imminentness of exams, dammit.  Officially, exam period begins on the 29th of MAY.  I have one provisional date for one of the papers I’m taking.  5th of june.  But that’s all.  I need to know when Company law is happening so that I can start shitting my pants and just get on with the program.

Oh dear, I need to chill.  Last week, whilst chilling, Sherot and I created a few rather interesting anagrams of our names.  The nicest constructed out of mine was….. Daisy Rhaun.  He he hee,  Daisy Rhaun the Randy Shaui – sounds like it’s explicit material je.  Thought of creating a new blog under that name so that I could blog anonymously, but no way lah that’s going to happen.  Simply don’t have the time and energy.  Noor Shahira, I don’t reckon u’re going to create a blog under the name of Haris Horono anytime in the future are u?  so, takpe la aku publicise eh.  hehe. 

Ok, m’afraid Ms. Daisy Rhaun is already tired and needs to retire to bed so that she could get ready for her show, the Randy Shaui tomorrow,  happening at uni.  Entrance is free so long as u bring Ms. Daisy lunch for her lunchbreak.  Teehee.  Not faaaaneeeeee la Daisy!

Silly illy billy! April 18, 2007

Yesterday I ran with all my heart, like a madwoman on steroids, from my place to uni so that I could hand in my assignment before the school office actually closed.  It was 3.50 pm and the school office usually closes at 4.00!!!!  Since it was 3.50 pm, most of the ppl were actually walking towards the halls.  I, on the other hand, was making a fool out of myself  running, again, like a madwoman with my scarf flailing about, holding my assignment in one hand like it was a torch and that I was running for the olympics, towards the uni.   I swear I’ve never ran that hard.  Lungs burning, heart beating like crazy, and legs at a speed that was already uncontrollable that if I were to hit a wall, the wall would actually break.  ecehh. 

I was beyond breathless when I reached the front desk of the school office at 3.56 sharp.  The nice lady there smiled at me sympathetically, waited for me to regain composure AND hearing (my word, my ears were ringing!) and then said, ”We close at 4.30 today, dear.” 

I was like, “WHaaattttt?!?!”  The guy behind me had the same reaction too.  “To think that I had ran all the wayyyy.”  But I just laughed it off.  The nice lady said, “It’s alright.  We like our students to keep fit!” 

So much for being fit.  I coughed like crazy all the way back from uni to my room. 

And today, I was in the ISS workstation, getting ready for my dissertation presentation at 4.00 pm when I discovered a note in my bag that says:

                          ”Presentation – 3.30 pm, Room 2007, Building 4.”

Oh my word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it was at 4.30!  Called Foy to calm myself and he was as much in disbelief as I was.  Deep shit, man.  Like, really.  The presentation counts for 5% of my diss mark.  Above anythingelse, I seriously don’t wanna lose that 5% over not trying to make it.  Went to see the Director of Student Affairs and phewwwwwhhh!  She re-scheduled me for another session that will be on FRIDAY, 1.00 PM/13:00 hrs.  

What the duck is wrong with me??!!!???!  Ugghh, it’s been a long week and I seriously can’t wait till it’s Fridayy.

Oh my good God!  I just discovered more pictures of Aiman n Aneesa from the photoshoot done by K.Zubye that I mentioned a couple of posts before this.  The photos are simply, simply superb!!!  Beyond superb actually.  If you’d like to see them, go here.  (Kalau tak tengok, rugi!)

By the by, I just got back from my trip to Salzburg n Vienna.  All I can say is that, “You must go to Salzburg and Vienna!!!!!”.  I’ve never been to a place that is as beautiful as Salzburg.  And the palaces in Vienna.  Adoiiiii!  Cantik nye teramatlah sangat!  The desserts there are superb too.  I wanna update more but my mind is on my essay right now.  I’m typing this so fast that I think the keys on the board are going to fly off the laptop any minute now.  I’ll put up pics later on in the week ok!  Have to, have to finish my work before Foy’s sister n her friend come down to visit us during the weekend.  So, enjoy the pics of my nephew n niece!  xxxxxxxxxxx

Aneesa in her newly decorated room, which I hope is being used for sleeping too and not just for playing, or posing!  I bet the room is pink all over and says princess on the door.  Who can say no to this girl, anyway?  So, leave her be!

The photographer, Kak Zubye, wrote on her blog that she couldn’t stop laughing when Aiman gave her this pose.  Heheee.

Awwwww!!!!  I bought that dress for her only a month ago.  It fits, yeay!! (K.shim n K.Lin, nanti dress the gilrs in the dresses that I bought them too ok, n show me pics!)

Goshh, I’m still so overly excited over these photos!   Talked to them over the phone just now.  Aneesa says she now wears the tudung to school.  Haihh, comot la tudung tu masa lunch.
